Hi friends! I’m super excited to announce a new section of my blog — TELL YOUR STORY.
The purpose is to foster a sense of community with people from all around the world.
We have more in common than we may sometimes feel. We all struggle. We experience the same emotions — but at different times, in different contexts, to different extremes. Through our unique perspectives, we have the ability to share, connect, help, and inspire others. And in helping others, we help ourselves.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve asked a couple of individuals to fill out a brief form and share a little bit about themselves through the following questions.
- What inspires you?
- What excites you?
- What’s your personal philosophy?
- What advice would you give someone who is currently feeling lost or purposeless in life? What helps you or has helped you before in these situations?
- Have any specific books/podcasts/videos/social media accounts/people had a significant impact on you and your outlook on life? If so, what would you share with others?
- Tell me a bit about your story– what is a part of your story (or your identity) that has most shaped you as a person?
- What are you hoping readers will take away from what you have to share?
As you can see, I want to encourage as many people as I can to contribute their genuine, authentic perspectives. I’ve designed the survey so that it (hopefully) isn’t too big of a time commitment for you. Think of it as a quick journaling exercise. But the value and inspiration you’ll provide will resonate with readers more than you might think.
Think you might know someone who is interested in sharing a little bit about themselves? Please share this post and let them know!
I also am providing all participants with an opportunity to promote their hobby, small business, side project, website, book, poetry collection, social media accounts etc. with my readers. This both serves as a chance to promote yourself, but also, inspire others.
Through my time blogging, I’ve met so many incredibly kind and passionate people — from business coaches, to nutritionists, poets, to personal finance pros, career mentors, and so much more. Each person has their own unique, creative and impactful project(s). They don’t all necessarily know each other. And there are many more out there who I can’t wait to meet.
But I think we can benefit from virtually “meeting”, learning from, and connecting with inspiring people through hearing their responses and perspectives to some important life questions.
Over the course of the next week, I’ll be posting one story per day–so be on the look out in the coming week for new posts!
